ABSTRACT
In this research project, the survey methods was

used. The questionnaire is also a great tool for data collection in this

research project. This project examines how the press in its

effectiveness can act as an agent of social mobilization with particular

reference the National Orientation agency in Okigwe Local Government

Area of Imo State. This work brought about some problems and how to

tackle such problems, suggestions were preferred on how to use the press

effectively to achieve social mobilization regarding the population and

the appropriate media of information to be used.
